What are invasive tree species and what can we do about them?
Urban Tree Company is at the site of the future San Antonio Arboretum and we are removing Ligustrum today!
By selectively clearing by hand we are able to identify native trees and shrubs like Green Ash, Oaks, Pecan, Persimmon among others and carefully cut the unwanted species and use those as mulch on the grassland areas.
By selectively clearing we leave everything that the natural flora and fauna need to thrive, add to soil composition and are able to create space for historic oaks and elms to really thrive.
